Daily mobile message volume of WhatsApp messenger 2016-2020

As of the third quarter of 2020, WhatsApp users were sending approximately 100 billion messages each day on the popular chat app. This represents an increase of over 66 percent compared to the last quarter of 2017 when global users of the popular messaging app sent approximately 60 billion instant messages on a daily basis.
