Since 2014, the number of reports has steadily increased year after year. The IGPN's reporting platform, created in 2013, is an administrative service offered on the Internet via an online form accessible on the Ministry of the Interior's website, aimed at improving relations between the police and the population.

These indirect reports are facilitated by the use of social networks, and are more and more numerous every year."
