In 2022, the market price of rare earth element dysprosium averaged 390 U.S. dollars per kilogram. Neodymium, another rare earth material, averaged 130 U.S. dollars per kilogram that year. Base metals such as nickel, zinc, and aluminum had a much lower price, ranging from three to 24 U.S. dollars per kilogram.
