Number of recycling facilities in the European Union 2010-2020
The number of recovery and recycling facilities in the European Union (EU-27) surpassed an estimated total of 200,000 in 2020, up from approximately 24,900 in the turn of the decade. These facilities receive, separate, and prepare recyclables to be sold to end buyers.
