China: share of Chinese luxury consumption abroad and domestically 2021

In 2020, Chinese luxury consumption in foreign countries accounted for around 25 to 30 percent of all Chinese luxury consumption, decreasing dramatically from 68 percent in the previous year. In 2021, the domestic retail channel was estimated to contribute to up to 98 percent of the total luxury sales.
