The average interest rate of loans from monetary financial institutions to non-financial corporations in the euro area overall has increased again in 2023, reaching 5.09 percent in September of that year. These figures are a composite cost-of-borrowing indicator that shows the average interest rate of business loans (non-financial), taking into account those with different loan terms or for different amounts.
