Voter turnout in U.S. midterm elections 1902-2022
In 2022, an estimated 46.8 percent of eligible voters in the United States participated in the midterm elections. This is slightly lower than the previous midterm election held in 2018, but remains generally high for a midterm election year. Election turnout in the United States tends to be much higher for presidential elections.
