National merchant ships: dead weight tonnage

In 2021, the majority of the fleet nationally registered was composed of container ships and dry cargo ships, which make up 48 percent and 15 percent of the total fleet tonnage, respectively. Meanwhile, nationally registered bulk carrier ships, mainly used for raw material transportation, accounted for 7 percent of the total deadweight capacity.
