Biomass energy production and consumption in Denmark 2016-2022
Denmark produced an estimated 1.55 million metric tons of oil equivalent worth of biomass in 2022. This compared to a consumption of some 3.1 million metric tons of oil equivalent that same year. Production and figures increased slightly when compared to the previous year, up from approximately 1.5 million metric tons of oil equivalent.
