Locations for listening to audiobooks in the U.S. 2020-2021
A survey held between January and February 2021 in the United States found that 55 percent of respondents had mostly listened to audiobooks at home so far that year. Whilst this is a large jump from the 2020 result, the increase was mostly attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stay-at-home orders meant that fewer people were commuting or traveling by car in general, hence the drop in the share of adults listening to audiobooks whilst on the go.
