Primary energy consumption per capita in the Netherlands 2010-2020
The Netherlands consumed nearly 167 gigajoules of primary energy per capita in 2020. This was a 3.5 percent decrease from the previous year, when residents in the Netherlands used an average of 173 gigajoules. Primary energy consumption has been continuously decreasing since 2017, when it amounted to 182.2 gigajoules.
