The number of retail chains in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux) fluctuated over the past couple of years. In 2022, there were approximately 3,865 retail chains in the Benelux. This is an increase compared to the previous year. The largest number of retail chains were based in the Netherlands, followed by Belgium.
