Leading property insurance companies in the Netherlands 2021, by revenue
In 2021, Nationale-Nederlanden Schadeverzekering Maatschappij N.V. was the largest property insurance company in the Netherlands. The insurer had revenues from gross written premium of approximately 970.9 million euros in fire and other damage to property insurance. In the Netherlands, the property, or "fire", segment covers insurances for both contents (in Dutch: inboedelverzekering) as well as buildings (in Dutch: opstalverzekering) and comes the closest to what in the United States is more commonly known as renters insurance or homeowner insurance.
