The source estimated that Netflix was the most popular subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) service in Latin America in 2021, with more than 41 million subscribers in the region. The figure was forecast to grow by 18 percent in five years, surpassing 48 million by 2026. Disney+ followed with around 12.2 million subscriptions in 2021 and a projected increase of almost 170 percent during the following five years – Disney's streaming platform was expected to have 32.5 million subscriptions in Latin America by 2026.
