In 2021, around 0.6 percent of the adult population aged 15 to 49 years in Brazil was living with HIV, an increase compared to the 0.2 percent HIV prevalence reported in 1990. This figure has remained stable throughout the analyzed period. In the last year, an estimated of 960,000 patients were living with HIV in the South American country.
