This statistic shows the rate of registrations of newly diagnosed cases of lung cancer per 100,000 population in England from 1995 to 2020, by gender. Lung cancer, also known as lung carcinoma, occurs when there is abnormal cell growth in the lungs, this abnormal growth can often spread to other parts of the body. In 2020, 77.2 males and 62.2 females per 100,000 population were registered as newly diagnosed with lung cancer.
