The exhibition industry in the United States started 2023 still under the impact of the pandemic, with revenues in the first quarter of that year almost 12 percent below the results in the first quarter of 2019. Still, that was the lowest decrease since the coronavirus outbreak. According to another source, the average annual budget for trade shows in the U.S. in 2023 exceeded the 2020 figure (planned before COVID-19 was characterized as a pandemic).
