According to a survey conducted in 2022, nearly one-third of Americans agreed with the statement that immigrants are invading the United States and replacing the country's cultural and ethnic background. Comparatively, 81 percent of white, Christian nationalism adherents agreed with the statement.

According to the source, adherents include respondents with a composite Christian nationalism score of 0.75 to one. Each respondent receives a score based on how much they agree or disagree with five statements.

The statements are, 1) The U.S. government should declare America a Christian nation, 2) U.S. laws should be based on Christian values, 3) If the U.S. moves away from our Christian foundations, we will not have a country anymore, 4) Being Christian is an important part of being truly American, and 5) God has called Christians to exercise dominion over all areas of American society.
