Cycling trips by purpose in Germany 2020

In 2020, Germans made around 8.5 billion trips by bicycle, more than half of which were for leisure and shopping purposes. About 3.1 billion trips were made by bike for leisure purposes, while just over 2.4 billion trips were made by bike to go shopping.
