According to a survey carried out in October 2022 in South Korea, the market size of illicit gambling was estimated to be around 102.7 trillion South Korean won. Overall, the scale of the market has been estimated to have increased over the years. Gambling is a heavily regulated activity in the country, with only a few legal channels available for South Korean citizens.
