Reasons for grocery shopping online vs. offline Australia 2022
In a survey conducted in 2022 among Australian shoppers, around 20 percent of respondents reported that offline grocery shopping was slightly better value for money. Around 35 percent of those surveyed said that they found no difference in the quality of food they received, regardless of whether they purchased their groceries online or offline. Food availability was perceived as better in-store, with over 55 percent of respondents indicating this. In terms of overall shopping experience, shopping for groceries offline was seen in a more positive light to online grocery shopping.
