According to a survey of smartphone users conducted between July 2022 and June 2023, chatting or sending messages was one of the most common activities on mobile in several markets, with 77 percent of users in the United Kingdom (UK) as well as 71 percent of users in the United States reporting to use their smartphone to exchange messages. Watching videos on mobile was also among the most common activities, with eight in 10 respondents in Brazil reporting to consume video content on their smartphones in the examined period.
