Number of domestic travelers for business purposes Japan 2017-2022, by type of trip
In 2022, the number of persons going on domestic overnight business trips in Japan amounted to about 7.2 million, while there were five million people who went on same-day business trips, the third lowest numbers of the past decade. However, these figures mark a significant recovery, considering that the previous two years were heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
