Passenger volume index of main railway lines in Japan's Tokyo Area FY 2013-2022
In the fiscal year 2022, the passenger volume index of main railway sections in Japan's Greater Tokyo Area reached 89 points, increasing by seven points compared to the previous year, but remaining about 35 points below pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels. That year, the Keihin-Tohoku Line between Kawaguchi and Akabane featured the most congested main section in the capital region.
