Annual climate finance needs in Africa 2020-2030
The cost to adapt to climate change in Africa was estimated at 41 billion U.S. dollars annually between 2020 and 2030, considering a high warming scenario (more than four degrees increase in global temperature average). Under the aforesaid scenario, loss and damage costs were projected at 44 billion U.S. dollars per year. Mitigation needs will likely have an annual fee of 72 billion U.S. dollars annually.
