GDP of mining and quarrying in Tanzania 2015-2020
Mining and quarrying added 9.9 trillion Tanzanian shillings (TZS) to Tanzania's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2020. This corresponded to around 4.2 billion U.S. dollars. The mining industry has been increasing its contribution to the country's economy since 2015. That year, around four trillion TZS (1.7 billion U.S. dollars) in the GDP had origin in the economic activity.
