The majority of American parents believe that being a parent nowadays is harder than 20 years ago. In a recent survey, 65 percent of fathers and 72 percent of mothers in the United States declared that parenthood today was generally harder. Similarly, 90 percent of male and 86 percent of female respondents stated that it was more expensive than before.
