Consumers' preferred retailer types for purchases in US Q2 2021, by gender
In the second quarter of 2021, consumers in the United States mostly preferred big box/department stores or pharmacy/convenience stores for their retail purchases. Almost half of the female consumers and more than a third of male consumers in the survey group stated that they chose these types of retailers for their shopping. The third most popular option for both genders was online marketplaces, with 43 percent of female consumers and 32 percent of male consumers stating that they used it for their purchases.
