Revenue of the restaurant industry in France 2017-2021, by segment
The restaurant industry's revenue in France increased in 2021 compared to the first year of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic but remained significantly below pre-pandemic levels. Over the period considered, restaurants and mobile food services represented the most profitable segment, generating roughly 46 billion euros in 2021. That year, the restaurant industry's total revenue amounted to 61.3 billion euros, whereas it reached nearly 80.6 billion euros in 2019.
