In the fiscal year 2022, the capital adequacy ratio of Japanese banks that have adopted the international regulatory framework for banks stood at 13.41 percent. Banks that have adopted the domestic standard had a capital adequacy ratio of 9.77 percent on average. The minimum capital adequacy ratio requirements for banks are lower under the domestic standard.
