Private capital increases in Spanish biotech companies 2016-2021

In 2021, Spanish biotech companies received approximately 183 million euros in private capital increases, the highest amount of private capital captured during the period. This represents a growth in capital of about 20 percent compared to the previous year, when biotech firms obtained around 152 million euros from private investors. That year, the company Splicebio registered the largest capital increase, which amounted to about 50 million euros.
