During a 2020 study, around 38 percent of e-commerce users surveyed in Chile said that they looked for reviews of a product or service on social media before purchasing said product or service. In Mexico, 27 percent of respondents stated the same. Latin America as a whole was projected to be home to nearly 297 million e-commerce users in 2021.
