Ghana's export of gold reached an approximate amount of 1.71 billion U.S. dollars as of the second quarter of 2023. This represented a increase from the same quarter in the previous year. Overall, government transactions on gold exports accumulated a value that slightly fluctuated in the period reviewed. Furthermore, Ghana had a total gold reserve amounting to 8.74 metric tons as of the second quarter of 2021.
