The French origin is a leverage of influence for many people in France: in 2018, more than 80 percent of French people regularly or occasionally consumed items that were produced or manufactured in France. Moreover, Made in France seems to be a way for French market players to orient the purchasing behavior of French people. In 2020, 86 percent of them said that the French origin of a product or service could lead them to buy it.
