Leading French banks by amount of investment in renewable energies 2016-2017
As major participants in the global economy, French banks have a role to play in the transition to a new sustainable model. While they continue to invest in fossil fuels, this statistic shows that the leading six French banks are also turning to renewable energies, and presents the distribution of the main French banks' investments in the renewable energy sector. It thus appears that Crédit Agricole is the bank that has invested the most in renewable energies, with its financial investments in the sector reaching an absolute amount of 620 million euros in 2016 and 2017.
