For 73 percent of children with fever in Nigeria as of 2020, advice or treatment was sought from a health facility or provider. Moreover, approximately half of the children in the country slept under insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs) for protection against malaria. According to a study conducted in 2018, 23 percent of the surveyed children in Nigeria had malaria. Nevertheless, this figure dropped by roughly 20 percentage points compared to 2010.
