Digital TV penetration in Russia 2010-2019
In 2019, digital television reached at least 98.4 percent of the population in Russia. The share of Russians with access to digital TV programming at home steadily increased since 2010, when it amounted to 15 percent, however, in 2019 the numbers did not change from the previous year. Between 2015 and 2019, Russia switched from analogue to digital broadcasting. As a consequence, consumers who owned TV sets produced before 2012 had to additionally purchase DVB-T2 receivers.
