Nippon Research Center in March 2020, close to 58 percent of respondents in Japan trusted the television news of public broadcasting station NHK as a reliable source of information during the the COVID-19 pandemic. NHK and other major broadcasting stations were the only sources trusted by a majority of Japanese respondents.
