The coronavirus (COVID-19) of 2020 is affecting the economy in Switzerland and leading to forecasts regarding loss in added value, depending on the duration of the shutdown. While forecasts are still not completely conclusive at this point, due to the dynamic development of the situation, based on figures from April 2020, after a 2-month shutdown, added value loss may fall between 49.2 billion euros to 59 billion euros.
