19 percent of Germans had a strong fear of getting infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to a survey conducted among members of the population at the end of June 2021. The first confirmed coronavirus case in Germany was recorded in January 2020. Since then, confirmed case numbers have increased across the whole country.
