In the last week of February 2020, Colombia saw a growth of 82 percent in sales of over-the-counter drugs in reaction to the COVID-19 outbreak, caused by the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Moreover, sales of products such as wet wipes and toilet paper also increased by 44 and 26 percent, respectively.
