This statistic illustrates the total number of point of sale (POS) terminals in Albania between 2011 and 2018, by type. The total number of POS terminals increased annually during this time to over 8.7 thousand as of 2018. Of these POS terminals, only 66 had a cash withdrawal function. Whereas the number of physical terminals with a cash withdrawal function decreased overall between 2011 and 2017, the number of virtual POS terminals increased overall from 3 in 2013 to 78 in 2018.
