This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in Italy in 2017 among 164 companies, mainly small- sized enterprises active in the manufacturing sector. During the survey, employees were asked to indicate the ways thank to which fraud has been detected within their organization. According to data, 29 percent of respondents declared that their company was able to detect fraud by constantly monitoring suspicious transactions. Other four percent of respondents claimed that internal rumors led to the identification of economic crime against their organization.
