A vast majority of Russian customers bought perfumes in traditional retail stores according to the study at hand. That is, the share of customers shopping in physical stores was on average around 90 percent across all age groups in 2021. Customers of age from 16 to 44 years were more likely to shop perfumes online relative to shoppers in other age categories.
