This statistic depicts the result of a survey question designed to find out Italians' attitudes around materialism as of 2016, broken down by gender. During the online survey, people aged 15 and older were asked whether they considered experiences to be more important than possessions. As of the survey period, almost half of the interviewed women (49 percent) agreed or strongly agreed with the statement "experiences are more important than possessions". A high agreement ratio was also found among male respondents (44 percent).
