Frequency of cinema visits in the Netherlands 2015-2020, by household income
In 2020, a person in the Netherlands whose monthly household income stood at a maximum of 1,150 euros went to the movies 1.5 times a year, on average. A year earlier, the average for that income group stood at 3.1 visits to a movie theater per year. Furthermore, between 2019 and 2020, overall cinema reach in the Netherlands decreased regardless of monthly income.
