This statistic represents the shift in the regional structure of auto suppliers' production sites in 2009 and 2019, compared with 2014. In 2009, the number of production sites in Mexico was about 15 percent below 2014 levels, as the country successfully attracted attention from North American and Western European suppliers, while the number of sites in Japan and South Korea remained the same between 2009 and 2014, and is expected to continue to do so through 2019.
