The survey is based on the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older in private households at main residence in the Federal Republic of Germany.

2010: 23,147 respondents, projected base of 70.51 million people

2012: 23,020 respondents, projected base of 70.21 million people
2013: 23,083 respondents, projected base of 70.33 million people
2014: 23,093 respondents, projected base of 70.53 million people

2012: projected base of 48.10 million people
