This statistic shows the amount of entrants for at least one A level in England (UK) from academic year 2005/2006 to academic year 2015/2016. There was a net decrease of roughly 13 percent in entrants over this 10 year period, with the number of students entering for A levels amounting to 225,732 for all schools in 2015/2016. Out of all surveyed academic years, the number of A level entrants was highest in 2009/10 at 267,345 students.
