This statistic depicts the number of finished consultant episodes with a primary diagnosis of obesity and a main or secondary procedure of 'Bariatric Surgery' in England, from 2002/03 to 2019/20, by gender. The number of women undergoing a procedure of 'Bariatric Surgery' is significantly higher than the number of men.
